Let me show, how you can make 3D curled paper heart(s) which is a great idea to your hand made card. It may look like too hard at first sight, but in reality they are quite easy.
- Decide the sizes of heart(s)
Before cutting the paper, you must decide the height of your hearts in advance.
Thicker and longer strips creates larger hearts
Thinner and shorter strips creates delicate, smaller hearts. - Cut the paper strips
You don't need any instructions for this step. But take following points into notice.- Each heart is created from a paper strip. Make sure they're with a smooth continuous width. With no remains of mistake cuts.
- Identical Hearts have same width and length.
- Start creating hearts
Before getting started, make sure you have clean fingers!Fold a paper strip in half. Meet the ends evenly. And have a nice folding line.
Place your pencil or pen tube along the tip of one of the paper strips. Hold the paper strip firmly pressing it into the pencil.
Coil the pencil and paper downward, towards the center crease of the strip. Keep some space between the crease and the coil and gently remove the pencil.
Repeat the winding step on the other end of the paper strip. Curl inward and stop halfway down. (You can also glue the two curls together, if it seems right.)
- Finished!
